A visit to Grenada’s first airport at the north eastern coast built in 1945 is no longer used for commercial flights and is now the site for local and regional drag racing. It also houses relics of two Cuban and Russian made airplanes abandoned after the Grenada Revolution. This area also has numerous artefacts and relics as a former Amerindian settlement.
Grand Anse Beach
A visit to the world renowned Grand Anse Beach at the southern part of the island is unmatched. Two miles of white sand with crystal clear and tranquil water of the blue Caribbean Sea only gets better with the ray of the island’s sunshine. This gem is a definite must visit.
